Jenna Fischer is best known for her character Pam Beesly on the acclaimed television show The Office, for which she won the Emmy nomination for Best Supporting Actress as well as two SAG Awards for Outstanding Performance in an Ensemble Comedy.
Her birthplace and childhood was in Fort Wayne in Indiana. Jenna was attracted by her mother's church performances as she began her career.
Fischer was a theater actress trained in her native country. Off-Broadway's production of Reasons to Be Happy was directed and written by Neil LaBute, with Josh Hamilton, Leslie Bibb and Fred Weller. The Old Globe Theatre's world premiere, she starred alongside Greg Germann as well as Josh Stamberg in Steve Martin's comical comedy Meteor Shower.
The Office star Angela Kinsey's best friend in real life and Fischer launched her own podcast, the Office Ladies podcast, on Earwolf, in October of 2019. The podcast quickly became popular. Every week, it was among the Top Ten in global downloads which topped 200 million downloaded in the beginning two years. Office Ladies, which was first launched in October of 2019 and was awarded the iHeart Radio Podcast of the Month award in January 2021.
The Actor's Life The Actor's Life is her first book, which describes the path she traveled from St. Louis, Missouri to Hollywood, where she became a professional actress. The second book, Office BFF's (co-authored by Angela Kinsey) is an autobiography of her closest friend, as well as their time at The Office.
