Beautiful pics of Tamara Day and Sarah Stiles feet & legs
The kids were at the crib, as I was strapped in with an infant on my back. Ha! It was all falling into place, but there was still a long way to go. To furnish the home would be an enormous undertaking both in budget and time. I would also have go to my favorite stores. To keep the budget in check, I began attending estate sales with my three boys searching for gems hidden in the dirt. Our routine was of walking around auctions and garage sales on Sundays and Saturdays and purchase a range of old pieces and new constructed. I'd spend my workdays on the drive working on painting or sanding. My love for furniture repair began when I saw a style that was similar to this. I continued to restore furniture even after we had completed the renovation of our home. On the streets, I rented a small space, and also sold objects. I eventually had so many pieces I didn't know what to do and I outgrew my space. My house was transformed into a space where I would host open houses. Up to 1,000 people could view items from the first floor, and then purchase these items. Growing Days was created in this house. While my company grew as did our family. I was finding that balance between what it took to start a new business and be a mommy too. Growing Days just seemed to fit. In 2013, my daughter Nora became our fourth child. I loved where my business was heading but I needed some time off. I decided to put off building my old furniture for a few months and spend time with my children. The time was right. However, after just a couple of minutes, my phone began ringing. They were asking for my help in interior decoration as well as renovations. A majority of these were people who had been through my property during open houses for furniture! After a while I began to take on customers at my pace. In no time, I was managing several accounts and a home renovations company. If you'd said to me that this company of mine could become the premise of a tv show that airs on the DIY Network I probably would have laughed. If I think back, it still makes me giggle.
