Nadia and Carol

Nadia Comaneci is a Romanian gymnast (born on the 12th of November, 1961 in Gheorghe Gheorghiu Dej [now Onestiin Gheorghe Gheorghiu dej, now Onesti Romania). She was the first person to reach a flawless 10 during an Olympic celebration. Bela Karrolyi is a Romanian gymnastics instructor, who later became Comaneci's coach and first became aware of Comaneci when she was just six years old. She competed at the Romanian Junior Championships where she placed 13th. She was awarded the championship in 1970. She took home three golds at her debut competition at a junior Olympic meet in 1972 for communist countries. In 1973 and 1974, she became the junior champion in all-round competitions. In 1975, she won 4 gold and 1 silver at her first senior international competition. Lyudmila Torishcheva was a five-time European Champion. She was the winner of the American Cup in New York City in 1976 and became the first woman in history to complete the backward double salto in an unmounting from uneven parallel bars. Carol Wayne.........................Carol Wayne was an American film and TV actor best recognized for portraying Art Fern's Tea-Time Movie Lady on The Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson. As a teenager she was performing on travelling shows such as Ice Capades as a skater alongside her younger sister Nina Wayne. Carol Marie Wayne is a United States citizen, born on the 6th of September 1942, in Chicago Illinois. Carol ventured into the entertainment business during her teenage years. Her career began when she joined her sister Nina Wayne to perform in Ice Capades, a traveling spectacle of entertainment. These shows included the ice skating of which was performed to music from the stage.
